Tiny Evie Rocks was born out of the experiences of Michael and Jessica Domingos and their family, after the loss of their twelve-year-old daughter, Evie, to suicide.
After their loss, the community banded together and provided many acts of kindness. One of those acts involved leaving kindness rocks at Evie’s memorial. This prompted the family to start painting their own rocks as a creative outlet for processing grief. Since that time, over 18,000 kindness and mental health awareness rocks have been painted in Evie's honor.
Positive responses and interaction with people who have found a Tiny Evie Rock led to the realization that acts of love, kindness and hope can change the day or even the life of the person who receives it. While rocks will always be our foundation, we have grown and are now providing larger programs that allow us to connect both socially and emotionally with the community.
The creation of this 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and its programs honor the memory of Evie Domingos while bringing awareness to the community to help remove the stigma of suicide and mental illness.
